On our way to Africa, we were fortunate enough to have a long lay-over in Paris. How Convenient?! I'd never been to Europe before, so I was pretty excited that I'd get to see Paris even if it was only for a day. When we got off of the long flight, my vision was blurred. I was so tired and jet-lagged but I knew I had to push through for the day. Plus I had a five-hour energy just in case things got real. We had the most memorable tour guide ever. She was the cutest and we laughed at almost everything she said, despite her seriousness. We got the chance to stop see The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, The Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tour. We were supposed to go into the Louvre, but once we got there Rose(our tour guide) remembered that its closed on Tuesdays. We thought it was funny and just hung out in the area for a while.

I definitely want to go back and just hang out for several days. Thankfully, I'll get the chance to do that when I visit Europe this summer. I'll be staying in Paris longer and I'll actually be able to enjoy my time. While at the Eiffel tower, I went and slept on the bus because I was THAT tired. Coming from someone with such a "Seize the day" mentality, that's pretty hard to believe. I can't wait to go back!
